| Twelve ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Antelope, after the animal, and this was the twelveth incarnation. Officially titled "HMS Antelope (F170)", it was launched on the 16th of March 1972, but was bombed by the Argentineans, and sunk, during the Falklands War in 1982. One British crewman, one British engineer and an Argentinean fighter pilot were killed in the May 23rd attack. |
