This is a map of the control of major Libyan towns and cities, based the current situation regarding the 2011 Libyan civil war. The size of the circles, which represent each town/city, is proportional to their total population size.
The Brown towns/cities are believed to be under NTC control, the Green cities/towns are still controlled by Gaddafi, whilst Blue signifies ongoing battles.
As of the evening of October the 9th, it is reported that Bani Walid - whilst surrounded by pro-NTC fighters - remains under the control of Gaddafi loyalists, whilst about 20% of Sirte also remains pro-Gaddafi, with street-by-street fighting currently taking place in the latter.
